Few towns can boast the same picturesque Victorian buildings and gardens as Port Sunlight. Going there is nothing short of time travel, as you soak up the atmosphere and surroundings just as they were over a hundred years ago.
There’s no best time to go either. Port Sunlight is never overly crowded, and each season brings its own colours and dazzling ambiance. You can make a day trip of it, or spend more time exploring this Victorian model village, and snap up some frame-worthy shots yourself.

You can comfortably walk through the village in a good hour, but there are plenty of exhibits and cosy Victorian streets to get lost in, gardens where you can take a break, and a smattering of tearooms and pubs where you can refuel.
Booking a heritage trail tour or checking into the Port Sunlight Museum will give you greater insights into the history behind the village, which is a fascinating story in its own right. Port Sunlight is no museum village; it is very much a functional settlement where you can catch theatre performances, arts festivals, and other things to do, with programmes for the whole family.
