[ HOW TO GET TO PORT SUNLIGHT ]
Amongst its many recommending features, Port Sunlight Village is very easy to get to - for a day trip or a longer stay.
[ DRIVING ]
The Village is only 10 minutes, by car, from Liverpool City Centre - or around a 25 minute drive from Chester. It's also only a 35 minute detour from the main M1/M6 London to Scotland Motorway. For a detailed route plan, you may like to vist and print from the site's [ MAP ] section.
If you do plan to drive from Liverpool city centre - through the impressive (1 Mile/1.5Km long) Queensway-Birkenhead road tunnel - be sure to have some loose change to hand. Using the tunnel carries a £1.20 toll - payable at automatic and manned barriers on the Wirral side - for journeys in each direction.
[ PUBLIC TRANSPORT ]
The continued presence of Lever Brother's Soap Factory in the Village - albeit in its current incarnation as a Unilever production site - means that public transport links are excellent.
[ BY RAIL ]
Port Sunlight is extremely well served by the Merseyrail Electrics Service. The Wirral Line joins staions between Chester, Ellsmere Port and Liverpool James St., Moorfields, Central & Lime Street stations (a main line terminus for inter-city services to and from London, the Midlands, the North-West and Scotland).
Trains run approximately every 15 minutes, in either direction, from around 6am until midnight. Off-peak adult return fares are inthe region of £1.70 for Livepool stations and £2.70 for Chester
